As Christians, we’re called to share the Gospel with those around us. It sounds simple, and it’s easy enough at church. However, out in the world, it can be intimidating to share your faith with strangers. Not everyone can stand on street corners with signs and a bullhorn. Not that there is anything wrong with that if you feel led to, but it’s just not our style.
In the Bible, followers of Jesus are given many titles, including ambassadors, the light of the world, and evangelists. Evangelism is the promotion or act of publicly sharing the Gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ with the world and those around you. No matter how you interpret these titles, our mission as Christians is clear: live a life that makes others want to know Jesus.
1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
Mark 16:15
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark 13:10
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
Matthew 4:19
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Not that you needed “evidence”, but we wouldn’t make a claim that wecouldn’t back up with scripture. Enter faith-based Christian apparel. Enter Church Murch, your home for Christian clothing and accessories with a focus on what’s trending right now. We can’t all be missionaries, but we can order our coffee with a smile while wearing a t-shirt that proudly bears a scripture on the back or a cute trucker hat that reminds people they were Created with a purpose.
If someone asks about what you’re wearing, invite them to church, your small group, or just share the message of Jesus. Fulfill your calling and look good while you’re at it!
