In September of 2022, I sat in a serve team conference at my home church in Las Vegas. As I  sat there listening to our pastor speak,  my eyes wandered around the room, specifically noticing how many people in front of me were wearing Christian apparel. “That’s pretty awesome church murch,” I thought to myself… “I wonder if anyone owns a business named ‘Church Murch.’”

Low and behold, they did not. As I started to sit on this idea, I realized that when I went to buy my girlfriends’ gifts for their birthdays, there was no one-stop-shop for all things cool in Christian apparel. I spent a good hour scouring the internet, Etsy pages, Instagram profiles, etc, to find the perfect gifts for them… But, God!

As I prayed, the vision for Church Murch became clear - create a marketplace for those seeking to represent the Kingdom of God through their clothing. Create a user experience that was aesthetic, clean and easy to use. Show people that Christian apparel doesn’t have to be cheesy. If I can create a site that encourages people to wear more apparel that speaks to their values, then I could help expand the Kingdom. Clothing isn’t the most important thing - but it can be THE thing that leads someone home to Christ. It’s a statement, a conversation starter, a door opener.

Fast forward, I am thrilled to celebrate our one year anniversary. With the help of my dear friend, Lauren - our Creative Director; Diana Hernandez Lizcano - our amazing web master;  Nate Guerro - a visionary stylist and photographer; Aaron Maligmat - a very talented videographer; some incredible friends who supported us by modeling; and a storm drain in the desert - Church Murch was born on January 29th, 2023.

To celebrate our first year in business, we have launched a private label collection. Moving forward, we will put out an Anniversary collection with our word from God for the coming year.

For 2024, our word was “My ceiling; God’s floor,” meaning that we can push this business as far as we can on our own, but when we surrender it to God, He can take it to new heights that we could only dream of.

I encourage you today to surrender your relationships, jobs, businesses, lives, etc. to God and watch how your lives transform.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your support and business over the past year. We have incredibly loyal friends and customers who have encouraged us and helped us build our brand along the way.

We hope that Church Murch has blessed you in some way and pray that you continue to be bold in opening the door to Christ for others.

With gratitude,

Alexis & Lauren
